Relinquish portfolio as Petroleum minister – Nigerians students tell Buhari

Students of tertiary institutions under the auspices of National Association of Nigerian Students [NANS] Zone B, Monday, staged a protest against the lingering fuel scarcity in the country and called on President Muhammdu Buhari to relinquish his portfolio as the minister of petroleum
They equally urged President Mohammudu Buhari to halt his frequent foreign trips but concentrate time and efforts at solving the prostrated fuel crisis and economic woes stirring the nation and the people at the face on daily basis
The students carrying inscribed placards; ‘End Fuel Crisis Now Mr President, ‘ ‘ There is Poverty In The Land,’ ‘ Fulfill Your Campaign Promises’ , ‘ Kill Corruption Not Nigeria’ , ‘The Silence Of Conspiracy Must Stop’ also condemned the inability of the President to put an end to the lingering fuel crisis and the present hardship Nigeria people are being subjected to by the endless crisis
Coordinator, Comrade Pedro Obi urged the President to immediately device urgent means to rescue the country and salvage the economic situation or tender resignation letter
Also Ambassador Armstrong Ovie-Afabor who decried the proliferating level of hunger and starvation in the land prevailed on Mr President to urgently assent the 2016 Budget currently before him and placed emphasis on diversifying the nation’s economy
Only last week, members of Edo State Civil Society, Libya Returnees and Traders Association embarked on street protest and urged President Muhammudu Buhari to halt his incessant drive for foreign trips in the face of the lingering economic recession
The groups who staged a protest across major streets in Benin City under the platform of aegis of the Talakawa Parliament expressed disappointment at the economic hardship the Nigeria people are currently contending with almost eleven months into President Buhari-led administration.
