Straight from Princeton University, New Jersey, United States of America (USA) where he delivered a Keynote Address on the Trouble With Nigeria, at the Chinua Achebe International Symposium and 10th Annual Memorial celebration of the literary icon, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, flew to London, United Kingdom (UK).
He went to rejoice with his “dear Friend and Brother,” Ondo State-born Professor Ayo Oshowo, a well-known Consultant Laparoscopic and Colorectal Surgeon at the University College, London, UCL, and his wife, Mrs. Ronke Oshowo, whose daughter, Damilola was wedding her heart-throb, Gregor.
In a tweet, Mr. Obi, former Governor of Anambra State, said Professor Oshowo “is one of the many Nigerians in the diaspora, who has kept the Nigerian flag flying high through their achievements and contributions to society.
“Through his works in the health and educational sectors, he lives out the examples legacy of intelligence and productivity, for which Nigerians are known. Prof Ayo is another proof that Nigeria is blessed with an abundance of great minds, whose immeasurable contributions to Nigeria, will place the nation on the path to progress, if we have the required ethical and accountable leadership.”
Mr. Obi wished the young couple well in their marital journey and prayed that “they enjoy an abundance of health, happiness, and fruitfulness.”
