RCCG members to embark on 63-day fast

Pastor E. A Adeboye, General Overseer, RCCG

Members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, worldwide would be embarking on a 63 day fasting and prayer program in the New Year, 2021.

This was announced by the General Overseer, GO, of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye at the Holy Ghost Service night of the Holy Ghost Congress of the Church on December 11, 2020.

Pastor Adeboye, while ministering on the theme of the Congress, “It is Time to Fly,” said that the 63 day fast will be in three stages and that individuals would be free to chose which of the three options to participate in.

The GO, who stressed that fasting is essential for Christians who want to actualize the purpose of God for their lives, said that the year 2021 is the year of restoration and that the restoration would be in three categories – slow and steady; fast and steady, and flying.

He said that those who want slow and steady restoration should fast for 21 days; those who want fast and steady restoration should fast for 42 days while those who want to fly should fast for 63 days.

The start off date for the fasting and prayer program has not yet been announced.

Pastor Adeboye also announced at the Congress that the January Holy Ghost Service will hold on January 8, 2020, not on January 1, 2020 which is New Year’s Day.

The theme of the January Holy Ghost Service, he said, is GOD BLESS YOU.
