RCCG’s G.O, Pastor Adeboye counsels mourners as his son, Pastor Dare, is interred amidst tears

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has asked those weeping over the demise of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye, not to do so as the 42 year old cleric was already resting in glory.
Pastor Adeboye, who said this in a pre-recorded video played during the funeral service for Pastor Dare on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, also stated that people should rather cry for themselves because they are the ones still fighting the battle of life.
Pastor Dare, the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, died in his sleep on Tuesday, May 4 in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye said: “Cry if you wish but don’t cry for Pastor Dee (as Dare is fondly called) because he is resting in glory. Cry because you are the one still fighting the battle.
“Anyone who has caught a glimpse of heaven will not be crying for Pastor Dee because there is no comparison between heaven and earth. But then fight courageously because, on the resurrection morning, we shall meet again.
“I want you to know that God who knows the end from the beginning knew long before the foundations of the world that what has happened was going to happen. And because His word is forever settled, He said all things work together for good to them that love God. We may not understand now, but what has happened is going to work out for our good.”
The highly respected Cleric said further that his son’s death should be considered as a seed sown which would yield “special harvest.”
Pastor Dare’s remains were, after the Service, laid to rest at the Redemption Camp on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Nigeria.
Those who witnessed the interment included Pastor Dare’s wife, Temiloluwa, his siblings, including Pastor Leke Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church (Winners), his wife, Faith and their son, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr., the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel and Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor of Ondo State.
There had been, on Sunday, May 9, a Special Service in City of David Youth Church Eket, Akwa Ibom State where Pastor Dare was based with his wife and three daughters before his demise, and Thanksgiving Songs and Tributes on Monday, May 10, 2021 at RCCG House of Favour, Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, which had in attendance the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye, Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and other dignitaries.
Pastor Dare, very much loved, especially by the youth of RCCG who he led devotedly, going by the many tearful testimonies that have followed his passage, is being mourned across the world by the very many people he personally impacted positively and by members of the RCCG family in general.
