Saraki in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, lauded the team and the technical crew for their superlative performance so far, and urged them to do all it takes to bring the cup home.
“No doubt you have surmounted daunting challenges to advance to the finals in this highly competitive tournament. I must say above all, that your individual determination and zeal to excel have taken you thus far. I cannot but urge you to up your game in order to clinch the ultimate prize in this final clash,” Saraki said.
The Senate President called on all Nigerians to continue to support the team with prayers and encouragement as they prepare to face host, Cameroon, in the final which will be played on Saturday December 3, 2016.
He also called on the Falcons and their handlers to make all the necessary preparation in terms of fitness of players and tactical approach to the game to enable them soar above the Cameroonian team during the upcoming encounter.
