Sokoto state governor, Ahmed Aliyu has reassured that his administration is committed to ensuring a secured and economically prosperous state for all.

The governor who stated this Tuesday shortly after swearing in new commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and Special Advisers, also admonished them to ensure that they work for the people.

“Let me reiterate and re-assure both the civil servants and entire good people of our dear state that our government would continue to be committed to the well being of our people.

”The security of lives and property is of utmost priority to us. We would therefore continue to collaborate with Federal Government and all the security Agencies in the discharge of that responsibility,” the governor assured.

While noting that Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and Special Advisers are critical engine rooms for government success, the Governor affirmed that he is committed to ensuring a new and better Sokoto State.

Reiterating his resolve for bringing credible people on board, the governor said, all those appointed were based on merit, adding that their track records of integrity and vast experience in all human endeavors are duly considered as well, hence they should be above board in their services.

“Let me at this point, mention that all of you were appointed on the expectation that you will deliver, therefore we expect much from you in the realization of our collective dream of a better Sokoto State.

“As heads of your MDAs in your respective places of assignment a lot is expected from you. You must ensure transparency, accountability, and good governance at every level of your transactions. You must ensure proper record keeping in all your MDAs in order to leave behind a strong and credible legacy at any time you are moved to other places.”
