The Senate Majority Leader, Senator Ali Ndume and officials of the National Emergency Managenent Agency (NEMA) have undertaken need assessments of Internally Displaced Peoples (IDPs) camps in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
The senator and NEMA officials who were flown by military helicopters on the assessment visit also witnessed delivery of 1700 bags of assorted food items which include rice, beans and maize among other items.
The truckloads of additional relief materials were to forestall any food shortage in the town.
More of such delivery is expected based on the needs assessment that was conducted by the team.
