In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, the President of the group, Mr. Kamuda Audu, raised alarm over false promises of oil blocs and solid minerals, warning Nigerian businessmen to beware of likely scam.
“Our attention has been drawn to activities of some Sierra Leonean politicians coming to Nigeria and meeting with top Business people and investors demanding money in cash with a promise that when they win the forth coming March 7th elections, they will be compensated with oil blocks.
“We see this as a fraud and scam and we urge Nigerians to beware. We issue this statement because we don’t want anything that will cause negative impact and image damaging that will tell on Sierra Leone-Nigerian relationship.
“Nigerians have huge investment and business interests in Sierra Leone and our people and government are ever grateful to the Nigerian people for their support in the past and even now. False promises and fraudulent activities are condemned.
“We condemn the alleged criminal act and refer to it as a cheap propaganda, dangerous thieving and unpatriotic 419 games of politicking”, the group said.
The group, which condemned ex-coupists allegedly behind the scam in Nigeria, alleged that “opposition politicians with well-known background of coup plotting and corruption are behind the ongoing attempted scam in Nigeria.
It will be recalled that, the SLPP flag bearer, Julius Maada Bio and his junta National Provisional Ruling Council [NPRC] team reportedly summarily executed 24 peaceful citizens which action is still to be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted by Constitutional Law Court which the relatives of the unfortunate victims are demanding.
It would be recalled that the Sierra Leonean elections hold March 7th,2018.
