Stop indiscriminate pasting of posters on walls, bridges; Pay your signage fees – Emecheta, ANSAA boss charges

The Managing Director of Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, ANSAA, Mr. Jude Emecheta, has appealed to the general public, especially religious organisations and politicians, to stop indiscriminate pasting of posters on wall and bridges in the state, warning that defaulters will henceforth be made to face the full weight of the law.
Speaking to a group of online reporters who visited the site where ANSAA officials were labouring to remove posters that littered the state, Mr. Emecheta frowned at the manner in which people persist in deface the whole state with posters.
Mr. Emecheta said that more worrisome was the fact that most of those who populate the state with these signages have not been paying the fees prescribed by law, stressing, however, that Gov. Willie Obiano has charged ANSAA to henceforth enforce the rules and collect all the fees prescribed for signages in the state.
He disclosed that ANSAA officials are presently going round the state issuing demand notices to all the signage and billboard owners across the state after which enforcement would commence in earnest.
According to him, “if all the people who erect billboards and signages in this state pay properly, then the government would not be waiting for federal allocation in order to work, because there would be enough money.”
He then promised to carry out to the letter, the charge of the Governor, Dr. willie Obiano, to maintain a clean environment by enforcing the law setting up ANSAA.
