Former Governor of Sokoto state, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has assured All Progressives Congress, APC, loyalists in the new Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, administration of Governor Aminu Tambuwal in the state of the safety of their jobs.
Reacting to a possible mass sack, Wamakko said such apprehension by some government officials loyal to the APC that they would be sacked by the PDP led state government does not hold any water.
He therefore admonished those officials loyal to APC to go about their normal activities devoid of any of such phobia.
Wamakko who spoke at his Gawon Nama Sokoto residence, while receiving various groups and associations on Sallah homage said all those who attended the recent historic mega rally to receive him from a successful trip to Abuja, did so based on their strong, unequivocal conviction to the change agenda of the APC.
The lawmaker warned youths in the state and the nation to shun acts of thuggery , as well as all unbecoming behaviours capable of breaching peace and unity in the state and the country.
Senator Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District, further reiterated his passionate appeal to the people of the state to strive to collect their Permanent Voter Cards ( PVC).
The Sarkin Yakin Sokoto also cautioned them ” without the cards, you will be inflicting self harm, by disenfranchising yourselves.
