President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Head Of Service (HOS) of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi to proceed on terminal leave with immediate effect.
A letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) requested Kifasi to proceed on terminal leave starting from Tuesday.
A replacement will be announced later in the week according to Presidency sources.
Barrister Danladi Kifasi from Taraba State is from the same North-East zone with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal who is from Adamawa State.
It was gathered that Barrister Danladi Kifasi who had served as Permanent Secretary in several ministries including Federal Ministry of Finance and Petroleum has prepared for smooth handover in the event of the announcement of new HOS who may likely come from the Southern part of Nigeria.
