Performing the ceremony which took place at the Government House, in Enugu, Governor Ugwuanyi represented by his deputy, Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo, said that his administration will continue to provide quality health care services to the people.
The board’s inauguration, he said, is consistent therefore with his desire to positively transform the health sector, adding that he is optimistic the members would use their wealth of experience to achieve the administration’s lofty objectives in health care.
Chairman of the board, Professor Hyacinth Ezeonah described their appointment as a call to duty and assured that he was, along with his colleagues, determined to meet the public’s expectations through hardwork, training of health personal, research and the provision of quality health care services.
The board has other members comprising the Chief Medical Director of the hospital; the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Elder GOC Ajah; Provost of ESUT College of Medicine; the Chairman of ESUT’s Medical Advisory Committee; ESUT’s Vice Chancellor; Director of Medical Services in the state’s Ministry of Health, Prof Nwobodo Edwin; Professor Ikenna Omeje and Mr. Chibuna Igwe.
