Underdogs Portugal beat hosts France to win 2016 Euros

An extra time goal by substitute Eder gave under dogs Portugal a 1: 0 win over star studded hosts, France as the former lifted the Euro 2016 trophy.
It would be recalled that Portugal lost the trophy when they hosted the tournament 12 years ago to underdogs Greece.
The Sunday match which went into extra-time after it finished goalless on 90 minutes saw both sides hitting the woodwork on each occasions an also using up all three substitutes with iconic captain of Portugal Cristiano Ronaldo substituted after just 25 minutes on the pitch.
France were predicted to win the tournament not just as hosts but also on account of the stars in the team which included; goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, Paul Pogba, Dimitry Payet, Griezmann, and Olivier Giroud.
