
Former Governor of Anambra State and the PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has described the death of former Minister and political leader, Chief Tony Anenih as a painful loss not just to the Anenih’s immediate family and political associates, but to the nation at large.
Describing Chief Anenih as a cornucopia of politics, Obi said that experiences of people like him are always expedient to nations like Nigeria that are struggling to deepen democratic practices.
Obi said further that “beyond politics Nigerians should study the rich political odyssey of politicians like Anenih for their timelessness, especially noting how their many triumphs and failings that would certainly act as a beacon of light, instructing the younger ones on what to embrace and what to avoid.”
Obi then prayed to God to grant Chief Anenih eternal rest and the fortitude to bear the loss to those he left behind.
