When Owerri celebrated Munachi Favour Akumadu and Dr. Chibuisi Enyinna Isiguzo’s high profile wedding
Owerri, the Imo State capital was in a festive mood on Saturday, April 25, 2026, as family, friends and associates of the Isiguzos of Ezinihitte Mbaise and the Akumadus of Mbieri Mbaitoli came together for the high profile wedding of Munachi Favour Akumadu and Dr. Chibuisi Enyinna Isiguzo.
The who is who in government, politics, the judiciary, healthcare and more were all present, and were gorgeously dressed for the joyful and historic event, which was officiated by several clergymen, led by the Bishop of Egbu Diocese, Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Okoroafor at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Prefab, Owerri.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State was there, ably represented by the state’s Deputy Governor, Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, who came with her husband, Chief Chukwuma Ekomaru (SAN).
Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Justice Chioma Egondu Nwosu-Iheme was there, the Acting Chief Judge of the State, Hon. Justice Ijeoma O. Agugua was also there, as were other serving and retired judicial officers and members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA).
Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, also graced the ceremony as did some Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), medical professionals and other eminent personalities who came in their numbers to honour the young couple and their happy parents.
Parents of the groom, Chief (Dr.) Chibututu Isiguzo and his wife, the Hon. Justice Vickie Isiguzo, and Lolo Akumadu, the bride’s mother were particularly overjoyed to see their children commence a lifelong journey as husband and wife, and were full of words of wise counsel for them.
For the record crowd of dignitaries from far and near who attended the solemnization of the Holy Matrimony and the reception thereafter, fond memories of the beautiful event will surely linger on for a long time to come, and, indeed, expectations are high that soon, there will be cause for more celebrations.
