The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. has dismissed as unfounded rumours of an imminent increase in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
While urging Nigerians to disregard the rumours, the conglomerate, in a statement by Olufemi O. Soneye, its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, assured that there are no plans for an upward review of the price of the product.
It, therefore, advised motorists nationwide “against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country.”
