

Following weather advice just received from JFK International Airport New York, Arik Air has cancelled its Lagos – New York flight for Friday 22nd January.
A statement by Adebanji Ola, PR & Communications Manager of the airline, the flight has been rescheduled tentatively to 11:30pm (local time) on Sunday 24th January, 2016.
“This 48-hour postponement is intended to allow the dangerous winter storm (Jonas) and snow condition to clear before the flight’s entry into the United States airspace.
“Arik Air regrets the inconvenience caused by this postponement which is highly regretted, but the safety of passengers is of upper-most importance to the airline,” the statement said, stressing that the airline “would update passengers and confirm our next flight by 6pm Saturday, 23rd January, 2016.
