Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has assured the people of Rivers State that his administration will enhance the quality of health care delivery in the state through its programme to develop quality health facilities.
In a message to mark this year’s World Diabetes Day, Governor Wike stated that his administration will intensify the training and retraining of health professionals to equip them in the handling of the health challenges facing the people of the state.
He assured Medical professionals and the Rivers people that his administration will continue to be responsive to issues of health, noting that his development blueprint his outlined a comprehensive programme to revive the health sector.
The governor charged the people to imbibe the practice of engaging in regular medical check up to determine their health status, as diabetes is a silent killer.
Meanwhile, the successful hosting of the National Executive Committee meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, in Rivers State is indicative of the nationwide acceptance of the Governor Nyesom Wike administration across the country.
The meeting also proved that Nigerians appreciate the peace-building mechanisms established by the Wike administration to promote economic, infrastructural and human development in the state.
In a statement issued by the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike thanked the Nigerian lawyers from all states of the Federation for attending the National Executive Committee meeting in the state and witnessing first the peaceful atmosphere that pervades the state and the development strides of the administration.
The governor assured Nigerians that his administration will build on the gains of proactive investments in the independence of the judiciary and the creation of access to justice for the people of Rivers State.
