Armed men on Thursday evening invaded Igarra, headquarters of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State and killed 12 persons in their bid to rob two commercial banks.
The robbers had earlier attacked the local police station where they shot and killed a policeman on duty with 2 detainees while setting the only vehicle in sight, a Toyota Hilux, on fire.
