2019: APC Governorship aspirant donates N2.7 million to rent campaign offices for Buhari in Gombe

A front-line All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship aspirant in Gombe State, Alhaji Abubakar Habu Muazu has donated the sum of N2, 720,000 to all the Wards and Local Government chapters of the party to rent campaign offices for President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2019 general elections.

Gombe has 11 Local Government Areas as well as 114 political wards. Each of the Local Government Areas were given N40, 000 to rent the Local Government offices of the party while the Wards were given N20, 000 to do the same.

Making the cash donation along with campaign materials that included party flags and posters yesterday, the renowned Gombe politician stated that he was not interested in renting any campaign office in any part of the State adding that the Ward and Local Government party offices would serve as his campaign offices as well as that of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He however stated that these party offices should ensure that they campaign vigorously for the return of President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2019 elections.

According to him, the effort is a deliberate way of continuously sustaining the party to victory and called on other juggernauts in the party to do same especially as the party wants to takeover power from the ruling PDP in Gombe state.

Abubakar Muazu also promised not to make any delegate to swear to the Qur’an or Bible in a desperate way to compel them to vote for him during the party primaries. He said, “I will also not hide any delegate in any room just because I want their votes. That will be going against their fundamental human rights and any aspirant who does that will never value you when they get to office.”
