The governor of Sokoto state and one of the presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has said that he hopes to emerge the party’s standard bearer for the 2019 presidential election.
Tambuwal who expressed the confidence while fielding questions from journalists at the Government House, Sokoto emphasized that going by his antecedent, PDP delegates would find in him a suitable candidate to fly it’s presidential flag.
He explained that his mission to the presidency was nothing but service to Nigeria adding that he has all it takes to be the president of the country.
The aspirant further said that his vision was to have a well secured, buoyant and very stable polity in Nigeria
Tambuwal also spoke on his blue print in advancing the education sector in Nigeria for the benefit of the youths.
According to him, his experience in Sokoto state which is one of the educationally disadvantaged states in the country would no doubt assist him in charting a way foreword for the development of the sector in the country.
He pointed out that adequate budgetary provision would be made for the education sector with the promulgation of enabling laws to facilitate the development of the sector.
