Mr. Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25, 2023, election, has restated his position that education is the most important investment any nation can make, particularly for its youths.
Mr. Obi said this in a congratulatory message to his running mate in the last election, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed on the occasion of the matriculation of the first set of students of the Baba-Ahmed University, Kano.
Senator Baba-Ahmed is the Pro-Chancellor of the University.
Applauding his “exemplary commitment to education,” Mr. Obi said that his “Very Dear Brother and Compatriot,” Senator Baba-Ahmed’s “strong belief in education and its impact on development, will definitely and immensely contribute to the enthronement of a New Nigeria which future generations will be proud of.”
He, thereafter, prayed for the Kaduna State-born Baba-Ahmed, that “May God Almighty, who sees your goodness, continue to protect and bless you always.”
