General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has said, again, that God has not told him yet that there will be an election in Nigeria next year, 2023.

Pastor Adeboye, who was speaking, Friday, November 4, 2022, at the November 2022 Holy Ghost Service of the Church with the theme “Let it Rain,” said that as at the moment when he was making his introductory remarks before commencing his teaching on the theme of the Service, he was yet to hear from God that there would be an election, stressing, however, that God may still speak to him at any moment going forward concerning the forthcoming polls for which arrangements are being made.

The highly respected Cleric had communicated this same position at another programme of the Church in the recent past but stressed that the conditional yet in his statement must be in capital letters, since God could still speak on the issue of the 2023 election at any time.

Pastor Adeboye, who restated his call for a fasting and prayer programme from November 26 to December 6, 2022, noted that the programme would be dedicated to praising God for all that He has done so far, apologising to Him for all that has been done wrong and for all that have not been done that should have been done, especially by Christians, and crying to God for mercy for individuals, families, for the Church and for the nation.

The fasting and prayer programme, which will be marked by prayers from 6:00PM to 7:00PM every day for the first six days at every parish of the Church will be rounded off on the seventh day at the Redemption City on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 7:00PM.

He noted that there are currently problems in the country that call for such intercession, pointing out that the situation had become so ludicrous or senseless that if one did not learn to laugh one could develop hypertension.

The November Holy Ghost Service and fasting and prayer programme, Pastor Adeboye said further, are to prepare the grounds for what God would do at the Holy Ghost Congress of the Church coming up from December 5 to December 10, 2022 with the theme, “Double Portion.”

The Friday November 4, 2022 Service started off with a teaching on the theme of the programme, “Let it Rain,” and went on to the intensive prayer session for God to rain down healings, mercy, power and joy upon His people.

A huge crowd of people attended the Service in person at the Redemption City on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway from all over the world, while others participated via the online platforms of the Church, with praise and worship sessions, prayers and astonishing testimonies of the miracles, signs and wonders of God shared by individuals, and with many people surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ.
