Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu has resumed lectures for the 2019/2020 academic year, a statement on Friday by the University Registrar, Dr. Nnamdi Eneh has said.

Eneh, however, said that students were not expected to congregate for lectures as usual, but would be taught online.

He said that lectures accessed through the university online learning platform as well as WhatsApp group teaching had already begun after the institution’s Coronavirus break.

According to the Registrar, students would be given the email address of the lecturers for contacts and clarifications as well as for group teaching via WhatsApp.

“The university online learning platform is accessed from the university website: www.gouni.edu.ng.

“Lecturers who have not uploaded their courses risk excluding themselves from teaching this semester,” he said.

Eneh said that the university had extended its second semester course registration to provide students ample time to complete their course registrations for the semester.

“Heads of departments, coordinators of programmes, mentors and the Council of Honour should take note of the extension and be guided in the performance of their activities,” Eneh said.
