The Africa Leadership Foundation (ALF) will officially launch its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, during an online event.
The launch, which is a hybrid programme, is spearheaded by Foundation’s founding Chairman, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria. The event, which will hold at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Abeokuta, Ogun State by 10am (WAT), will also be live streamed.
The launch will officially introduce the Foundation’s new vision and strategic direction for the next five years
According to the Executive Director, Dr. Olumide Ajayi, the plan provides a bold roadmap for transforming leadership, strengthening institutions and promoting sustainable development across Africa.
Dr Ajayi said the new strategy is built around the theme, “Leading Change. Inspiring Impact. Shaping Africa’s Future.”
“The 2026–2030 Strategic Plan will focus on leadership development, good governance and accountability, gender equality and social inclusion, enterprise and economic growth, as well as partnerships and collaboration”.
The Foundation said that the launch reflects its renewed commitment to empowering leaders, building stronger institutions and creating lasting impact across the continent.
Stakeholders, partners, alumni of the Foundation and members of the public are expected to join the virtual event as the Foundation unveils its plans for advancing leadership and sustainable development in Africa over the next five years.
