Nnenna Mary Mbagwu, retired Immigration top shot, goes home, Saturday, March 13, 2021

All is set for the glorious final journey on earth of Assistant Controller General of Immigration (Rtd), Nnenna Mary Mbagwu, who passed on at the age of 66 on December 12, 2020.
The passage on to glory of the departed top shot of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) was announced by the late Mr. Innocent Mbagwu family, who also announced that on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 6.30 PM, there will be a Christian Wake Keep at her Compound in Umuokoro, Umuariam, Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria.
On Saturday, March 13, 2021 there will be Laying-in-State from 8:00AM at her residence, and at 9:00AM a Church Service will hold at Christ the King Catholic Church, Umuokoro, Umuariam Obowo in her honor before internment at her country home.
Nnenna Mbagwu, a leader of leaders, showed her leadership qualities early in life as she easily became the first female Vice President of the Students Union of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka during her university days.
A reception will follow immediately after internment to honor the memory of the much loved, widely traveled, retired senior officer of the Immigration Service who positively impacted the lives of many in her life time.
Condolence messages are still pouring in to members of the family from far and wide.
Arrangements have also been made to receive all the dignitaries that will come in from all over the world for the final rites of passage for the departed gallant officer, community leader, peace lover, philanthropist and bridge builder.
