Rapper, Shola Idowu, popularly known as Weird MC, has told her fans and followers to respect her choice of Peter Obi as Presidential candidate in the 2023 election same way she respects their different choices.
The message was shared via her Twitter handle on Monday in response to reactions from a picture of herself and the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi shared hours earlier.
The entertainer stated that she had no issues with the candidate that anyone else is supporting and that she will never disrespect people’s candidates because she respects people’s choices and expects them to respect her choice too.
Weird MC wrote “I still stand my ground. It’s ok for us not to support the same candidate. But I will never trade words with anyone. I will never insult or disrespect you. I respect your choice, respect mine too.”
The choice of who succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari has been subject of heated debate on social media platforms since the conclusion of different Party Primaries.
