For the second time in three months, Coach Fatai Osho of Rivers United FC has resigned from his position at the club.
The first, at the mid-point of the recently concluded 2022/2023 season, Osho announced his resignation from his role as Chief Coach of the dethroned NPFL Champions.
That decision was rescinded as the former Enyimba International FC manager was convinced to stay on at Rivers United FC.
Fatai Osho has once again sent in his resignation from the Rivers United FC Chief Coach role following a 3rd place finish at the NPFL Super Six playoffs.
In a post on his official social media handle, Coach Fatai Osho announced his resignation and thanked the club for the opportunity to serve.
He wrote “THANK YOU RIVERS UNITED FC
“I want to thank the entire Rivers United FC management, staff, and coaching crew for my stay in this great club.
“It has been a worthwhile experience and a memorable one at that.
“As I resign my position as the Chief Coach of this great club,” he concluded.
In a related development, Osho is lined up for Head Coach jobs at three NPFL Clubs, a possible reason for his decision to part ways with Rivers United FC where he worked under Head Coach Stanley Eguma.
