The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will start a 50 day global New Year Prayer and Fasting programme on Thursday, January 11, 2024 that will end on March 1, 2024.
The programme was announced by the General Overseer (GO), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, during the Church’s first Holy Ghost Service of the year last Friday at the Redemption City on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway in Nigeria.
The theme of the January Holy Ghost Service was “From The Mountain Top,” and Pastor Adeboye and other Anointed Ministers of God ministered during the Service which attracted a huge crowd of worshippers onsite, including the present and immediate past Governors of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Enoh and Udom Eemmanuel; apart from online worshippers who participated from different parts of the world.
All members of the Church worldwide will be expected to participate in the spiritual exercise, the end of which will coincide with the Special Holy Ghost Service for March which also marks Pastor Adeboye’s birthday. The highly respected Cleric was born on March 2.
To commemorate his 82nd birthday this year, several activities have been lined up, including a continuation of the Light Up Crusades that started as a vehicle to more intensely evangelise secondary schools, university campuses, correctional centers, mission fields and cities across the world.
The Light Up Crusades have so far reached very many locations globally but is intended to be intensified in line with the passion of Pastor Adeboye for soul winning.
Another special feature of the Special Holy Ghost Service will be the Marathon Messiah’s Praise programme, considered the world’s longest-running live music production, which this year will witness top gospel artistes from Nigeria and abroad performing non-stop for 82-hours to glorify God and bless Him for the life and ministry of Pastor Adeboye.
