Prof. Jacinta Opara becomes Vice Chancellor, The Dominican University, Ibadan
Professor Jacinta A. Opara has been appointed substantive Vice Chancellor of The Dominican University, Educational Layout, Samonda, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
A statement by the Acting Registrar of the University, Fr Samuel Onyiba, said that the Board of Trustees of the University approved the appointment which Professor Opara has since accepted.
The statement, which congratulated Professor Opara and wished her the best as takes on the mantle of leadership, also commended Professor Dokun Oyeshola, OP for his selfless service as Acting Vice Chancellor.
Meanwhile, a ceremony to inaugurate the new Vice Chancellor holds today, Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Tom & Carolyn Walker Hall of the University from 12:00 noon.
High points of the ceremony will be a Special Guest Lecture to be delivered by Professor Abel I. Olayinka, the administration of the oath of office by the University Registrar and the Inaugural Speech to be delivered by Professor Jacinta Opara.
