Senator Sunday Karimi donates N17million towards reconstruction of Pakuta Bridge in Kogi State

Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has donated an additional N7million towards the reconstruction of the Pakuta Bridge in Akutupa Kiri, which collapsed recently.

This information, according to a statement by Professor Olu Obafemi, the Asiwaju of Kiri Kingdom, was confirmed by Otunba Kingsley Mokikan.

Senator Karimi had, according to the statement by Professor Obafemi, earlier released the sum of N10 million towards the project, in fulfilment of his promise to support the reconstruction of the critical infrastructure that serves many of his constituents.

According to Professor Obafemi, the gesture of the Senator demonstrates “his commitment to improving the lives of our people through much-needed infrastructure development.”

The National Merit Award winning Professor Obafemi noted further that “the Pakuta Bridge plays a vital role in connecting communities and facilitating transportation of goods and services in the region. Its reconstruction will not only enhance connectivity but also promote economic growth and social development in our kingdom.

“We commend Senator Sunday Karimi for his dedication to our community and urge him to continue his efforts to improve the welfare of our people. We also extend our appreciation to all stakeholders involved in the reconstruction of the Pakuta Bridge for their hard work and commitment.
