Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has announced his final 23-man squad for next month’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.
The list includes many of the regular stars but also some surprising omissions. Bayer Leverkusen pair Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, as well as Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar, have all been left out.
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali made the cut alongside defenders Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel. Midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Frank Onyeka were also included, while forwards Simon Moses, Samuel Chukwueze and Cyriel Dessers all kept their places.
