Lucky Imasuen speaks on Edo State’s Museum of West African Art in New York on Friday


Former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Lucky Imasuen, will be the Guest Speaker at a Town Hall meeting in New York, United States of America (USA), on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 6:00pm.
The event, which holds at the DoubleTree by Hilton, New York-LaGuardia Airport, 104-04 Ditmars Blvd, East Elmhurst NY 113669, will dwell on the Renewed Hope Agenda with special focus on the Museum of West African Art (MOWAA).
Imasuen who served as Deputy Governor of Edo State from 2007 to 2008 under Oserheimen Osunbor, according to the organizers of the program, DaddyRich Production, will use the platform to clarify issues arising from the controversies surrounding the Museum, especially for Edo people in Diaspora, art lovers and other interested friends and associates of Edo state.
The MOWAA, among others, is being projected as an ultramodern Museum to house Edo artifacts, especially the famous Benin Bronze sculptures looted from Benin by British military expeditions during the colonial era and taken to British and other western nations’ museums, but that are now being repatriated to Nigeria.
The Who-is-Who of the Edo State Diaspora, other well meaning Nigerians, Diplomats and art enthusiasts from New York and beyond are expected to attend the highly anticipated event.
