Hunters of Christians will soon become the hunted, Pastor Adeboye says as February Holy Ghost Service holds

Preaching during the Holy Communion Service of the February Holy Ghost Service of the Church yesterday, Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Redemption City of God on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Pastor Adeboye said that the tide is about to turn to bring about the scenario of the hunter becoming the hunted.
The theme of the Holy Ghost Service of February 2026 which holds today, Friday, February 6, is “Brand New Beginning Part 2,” and worshippers are already trooping into the Redemption City of God for the Service which is coming a few days after the commencement of the 30 days fasting and prayers programme of the Church.
The fasting and prayer programme will lead up to the Special Holy Ghost Service of March this year, which will mark the 84th birthday of Pastor Adeboye. The Osun State, Nigeria-born internationally acclaimed cleric was born on March 2, 1942.
Taking the text of his message at the Holy Communion Service from 1 Kings 21:16-20, Pastor Adeboye who had earlier asked the congregation to pray that the secrets of their enemies shall be exposed, stressed that as the tides turned and King Ahab who had been hunting for Prophet Elijah became the hunted, those who had been hunting Christians in Nigeria, causing them to be running and hiding, would soon become the hunted.
The tide turned for Elijah after he ate the meal provided by God for him under the juniper tree through an angel (1 Kings 1: 5-8), and according to Pastor Adeboye, the Holy Communion of February is “A meal of new beginning,” assuring that God is on the trail of agents of the devil.
The Holy Ghost Service of tonight, which will have Pastor Adeboye and other anointed Ministers of God officiating, will, among others, feature high praises, great worship, fervent prayers, inspired preaching of the Word, prophetic declarations and testimonies of God’s faithfulness.
Meanwhile, among the activities lined up for the celebration of the 84th birthday of Pastor Adeboye, will be the 12th Annual Public Lecture in his honour, which has as its theme: “Leveraging Nigeria’s Young Population for National Growth & Development.”
The Lecture, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., will take place at the RCCG Youth Centre, Redemption City of God, and will bring together church members, young leaders, and key stakeholders for a day of learning, inspiration, and national discourse, with the aim of exploring how the nation’s youth can be harnessed as a driving force for sustainable growth.
Some high profile past Lecturers at the annual intellectual feasts are Pastor (Professor) Oyewale Tomori (2016), Dr. Christopher Kolade (2020), and Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN (2025).
