Aliko Dangote lectures at FUTO, Saturday, April 25

The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), its Vice Chancellor, Professor (Mrs.) Nnenna N. Oti and the university community will host the richest Blackman and foremost entrepreneur, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The occasion is the 37th Public Lecture of the University which will have Alhaji Dangote, GCON, as the Lecturer.
A notice by Prof. B. O. Esonu, Chairman, University Lecture Committee and University Orator, said the topic of the Lecture is “A Dialogue With Aliko Dangote: Enterprise, Leadership and Service to Humanity.”
Venue of the highly anticipated Lecture is the Prof C. O. E Onwuliri Conference Hall of FUTO and time is 12 noon.
Alhaji Dangote, the Founder and President of the Dangote Group of Companies, which includes the mega Dangote Refinery, Dangote Cement, and Dangote Sugar, to mention just a few of his widespread interests, was only recently named among TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the world for 2026.
He was listed alongside the likes of U.S President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, revered Pope Leo XIV, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and YouTube CEO Neal Mohan.
The celebrated industrialist and renowned philanthropist was appearing on the TIME Magazine’s list of 100 Most Influential People in the world for the second time, having made the exclusive list first in 2014 for his exceptional impact on business and philanthropy.
All are welcome to the intellectual feast on Saturday, which will have the highly respected business leader sharing very valuable nuggets, rare insights into entrepreneurship, leadership and how to impact humanity positively.
