Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, and ex-presidential adviser, Babafemi Ojudu, have endorsed Gov. Biodun Oyebanji for re-election.
The endorsement came on Wednesday during the final leg of Oyebanji’s campaign across local government areas in Ekiti State.
The rally held at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, attracting party supporters, community leaders and residents from different parts of the state.
Fayose described Oyebanji as “a performer and builder of modern Ekiti,” praising his achievements in governance and public service.
He said the governor had delivered visible projects, strengthened institutions and prioritised the welfare of citizens across the state.
Fayose added, “Oyebanji deserves another term because his leadership has brought stability, development and renewed confidence.”
He maintained that former governors in Ekiti State were united in supporting the governor’s second-term ambition.
According to him, political leaders across party lines recognised Oyebanji’s commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development.
Also speaking, Ojudu said the governor had remained accessible, responsive and closely connected to ordinary residents.
He urged voters to reward Oyebanji’s performance with overwhelming support during the June 20 governorship election.
Ojudu said, “The people have seen results, and this election should reflect their appreciation.”
He called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to target no fewer than 500,000 votes statewide.
Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, who chairs the APC Campaign Council, commended residents for their loyalty.
Bamidele praised Ado-Ekiti residents for turning out massively during the campaign activities.
He said Oyebanji had distinguished himself through infrastructure renewal, human capital development and peace-building efforts.
Responding, Oyebanji thanked residents for their peaceful conduct throughout the statewide campaign tour.
He assured voters of “a free, fair and credible election” on June 20.
The governor also praised President Bola Tinubu for supporting Ekiti State through federal appointments and projects.
Oyebanji urged party members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the governorship poll.
