PSC approves posting of AIG Auwal as Commandant, POLAC; Move 8 CPs to State Commands (See who is where) 

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has Wednesday approved the posting of AIG Auwal Musa Mohammed as Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, and moved eight Commissioners of Police (CP) to various State Commands.

AIG Mohammed, a statement by Torty Njoku Kalu, Head, Protocol and Public Relations, PSC, is an officer with over 33 years of experience in operations, investigations, intelligence-led policing and training. He holds a BSc in Political Science and an MSc in Public Policy from Bayero University. He has served as Commandant Police College Maiduguri, CP Bauchi, and AIG Zone 3 and Zone 6, and is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

The eight CPs deployed are: CP Afolabi Wilfred Olutokunbo (formerly CP Admin, Training & Development → CP Abia); CP Ayodeji Faniyan, (formerly CP Admin, Police Cooperative Lagos → CP Plateau); CP Saka Adewale Ajao (formerly CP Admin, FCID Annex Gombe → CP Bayelsa); CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue (formerly CP INTERPOL Abuja → CP Cross River); CP Nnanna Oji Ama (formerly CP Intelligence → CP Anambra); CP Patrick Daaor (formerly CP Admin, FID Abuja → CP Edo); CP Tijani Murtala (→ CP Jigawa); and CP Samuel Erale Etaifo (→ CP Delta). The postings follow promotions of former CPs and are aimed at sustaining operational exigencies.

Speaking at the session, Hon. Justice Paul Adamu Galumje (JSC,rtd), a Board Member and Hon Commissioner 1, in the Commission, who precided over the meeting, charged the officers to stand firm, uphold the rule of law, and remain neutral and diligent. Other Board members who were in attendance included Alhaji Abdulfatah Mohammed, Hon. Justice Christine Ladi Dabup (rtd), and Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, Secretary to the Commission.
