Nigerian influencer, Priscilla Ojo, and her musician husband, Juma Jux, have unveiled the face of their son, Rakeem Mkambala, for the first time as the child celebrates his first birthday.
The couple, who had previously shared photographs of their son on social media without showing his face, made the disclosure to their followers as Rakeem marked his first birthday.
Announcing the milestone, Priscilla and Juma shared photographs of their son alongside a birthday message expressing their joy and gratitude over his first year.
“We blinked, and a whole year passed,” the couple wrote in their message.
They described Rakeem as a cheerful, intelligent and curious child who had brought happiness to their lives since his birth.
“To our dearest son, watching you grow has been the biggest blessing. You are the most cheeky, happy, cleverest little pumpkin,” the couple said.
They added that Rakeem had spent his first 365 days bringing joy to the family while they watched his personality develop.
According to the couple, their son is “curious, so joyful, so smart and so full of life,” adding that he made every day better simply by being himself.
They also expressed hopes and prayers for his future, saying they wished for him to grow up healthy, happy and with a sense of purpose.
The couple prayed that God would guide Rakeem’s steps and order his path, while also asking that he always know how deeply he is loved.
“We pray your laughter never stops and your beautiful heart stays pure,” they said, describing their son as their “greatest answered prayer.”
The birthday message concluded with a declaration of their love for Rakeem as they wished him a happy first birthday.
The unveiling marks the first time the couple has publicly shown their son’s face after previously keeping it hidden in social media posts featuring him.
