Professor Austin Nosike, President of the African Academy of Economics, has been appointed Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), International Journal of Management and Public Administration (AIJMPA).
The appointment was contained in a letter dated August 27, 2026, signed by the Director-General and Editor-in-Chief of AIJMPA, Dr Funke Femi Adepoju, on behalf of the Editorial Board.
Nosike, the Vice-Chancellor of James Hope University, Lagos, will serve an initial three-year term as Editorial Board Chairman of the Journal, which may be renewed by mutual agreement.
As Chairman, he is expected to provide strategic leadership and oversight for the journal’s Editorial Board.
He will also chair Editorial Board meetings and guide discussions on the development and direction of the journal.
The appointment letter further requires Nosike to declare any conflict of interest and maintain the confidentiality of editorial materials handled in the course of his duties.
ASCON, which publishes the journal, expressed confidence that Nosike’s academic experience and professional knowledge would contribute to the growth and scholarly standing of the publication.
Nosike is the President of the African Academy of Economics, an institution focused on promoting economic research, knowledge and professional development.
His new appointment adds to his academic and professional responsibilities, placing him at the head of the editorial team responsible for guiding the journal’s scholarly direction.
