Bauchi State Governor, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has approved the appointment of Alhaji Danbaba Umar as the Director of Press (DoP) Government House.
A press statement issued, Wednesday, by the Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs, Government House, Mahmoud A. Garba and made available to newsmen in Bauchi, said that Alhaji Umar until his recent appointment was the Deputy Director Press for about 20 years.
The Governor also approved the appointment of Comrade Sabo Muhammad as Senior Special Assistant Media, while a onetime Special Assistant on Media and Lecturer with the Mass Communication Department in the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Abubakar Safiyanu Al-Sadiq is now the Press Secretary to the Governor.
While other appointment include that of Special Assistant on Media to the Governor that will be occupied by, Kabiru Nuru (Lemi) a former Personal Assistant to the immediate past Governor and Director Media and Publicity to the campaign Organization of the present Governor before the last general election.
All the appointments are with immediate effect, according to the statement.
