The attention of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been drawn to misconceptions and misinterpretation of the state of affairs in the Imo State chapter of the party.
The NWC hereby clarifies that the local government and ward caretaker committees have not been dissolved by the party. They are fully in charge of the ward and local government affairs of the party in the state and are hereby directed to work with the Hon Vitalis Okafor-led State Caretaker Committee.
Similarly, the NWC further clarifies that the Hon. Vitalis Okafor-led State Caretaker Committee is completely in charge of the affairs of the party at the State level while being answerable to the National Working Committee.
