The Ministry of Power, Works and Housing asked Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, which is handling the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway reconstruction to continue work during the public holidays on Saturday October 1 and Monday October3, 2016, “to improve the travel experience of commuters and speed up work on the reconstruction” of the ever busy highway.
According to a statement by Hakeem Bello, Special Adviser, Communications to the Minister, users of the important economic road were commended for their forbearance, even as the Ministry hoped that with good weather “which has become a major concern,” work on the highway would improve during the period.
