Sultan Abdulrahaman College of Health Technology, Gadabawa Sokoto records academic breakthrough

The Sultan Abdulrahaman College of Health Technology, Gwadabawa Sokoto state came first out of the other colleges in Nigeria which sat for the 2016 Dental Management Examination.

The College which awards Diplomas and Certificates in health related courses has recorded academic breakthrough and scored the highest 92.2 per cent mark in Community Health Examination.

The Head of the Institution and Executive Director, Nasiru Aliyu who disclosed this while speaking to Journalists at Gwadabawa spoke of increased  numbers of students from across the country seeking admission into the health institution.

He said due to the excellent performance of the College, it has been designated Examination Centre for students from Zamfara, Kebbi as well as those of Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital Sokoto for the Medical Laboratory  and Health Information Examinations.

According to him, 4,800 students of the College of Health Technology now have Index Numbers that qualify them for  Industrial Attachments at various Hospitals across the country, adding “all our students on Attachments in Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Jos and other health institutions are being monitored to ensure good performance.”

He disclosed that the Sokoto state government has purchased Dental, Xray, Nutritional equipment for the College worth millions of Naira.

Aliyu further stated that the College has introduced online admission and registration of students to ensure effective internal revenue generation.

The College which was established to produce the needed middle manpower has its products gainfully employed in local government areas of the state.
