Victims of a strange fire outbreak in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State Capital on Wednesday are now begging Governor Seriake Dickson to assist them and provide succor for them as they, their wives and children are stranded.
The victims woke up in the early hours of Wednesday to notice a huge smoke that later destroyed their building valuables.
The fire outbreak which wrecked havoc on the building located along NIIT Road, Etegwe-Epie caused panic among the residents of the area as thick smoke filled the air thereby causing confusion among the occupants of the building as women, children ran for safety along the major road.
Although none of the victims could give account of how the inferno started, they said they only noticed smoke in a room and the fire later engulfed the entire building and razed down valuable property.
Our correspondent reports that no life was lost in the strange inferno even as the outbreak forced occupants of the affected building to relocate to safety.
Recounting the incident, Mr. Preye Moses whose property was burnt in the fire said, the outbreak was like magic as the inferno took all the occupants of the building by surprise.
Moses who looked helpless said all his valuables including clothes, money and other belongings were destroyed by the fire.
While lamenting their losses he called on well meaning Nigerians to come to their aid, saying that all their belongings, money and other valuables were destroyed by the fire.
