Abia Warriors FC Set to Face Dakkada FC and Akwa United FC in Uyo

As part of their mid-season preparations, Abia Warriors FC will test their strength against two Nigerian clubs, Akwa United FC and Dakkada FC, in friendly matches in Uyo on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Both teams, owned by the Akwa Ibom State Government, will host Abia Warriors for the games. The first match will see Abia Warriors face Nigeria National League (NNL) side Dakkada FC at the Uyo Township Stadium, starting at 12:00 pm. Dakkada FC, not in NNL action this weekend, will use the opportunity to keep their players active.

After the Dakkada clash, Abia Warriors will travel to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo for their second match of the day. At 3:00 pm, they will face Akwa United FC, coached by Kennedy Boboye.

Akwa United recently won their last friendly 3-0 against Godswill Akpabio United FC in Uyo as Boboye continues his preparations for the second half of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, which is set to begin on January 26.

Abia Warriors, under Coach Imama Amakpakabo, will be hoping to make the most of these friendly games as they look to build match fitness and sharpen their tactics ahead of the new season.
