
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has described late Professor Julius Onah, the foundation Vice Chancellor of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) as ‘a motivational father whose life examples had led various people to greater heights.’
The governor spoke as eminent Nigerians converged on Orba, in Udenu local government area, Enugu State during the burial of the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the institution and the First Professor of Marketing in West Africa, Prof. Julius Onah.
In a eulogy on the occasion, Governor Ugwuanyi urged his contemporaries to emulate the late
Onah by distinguishing themselves in their various disciplines.
Also speaking, the Catholic Bishop of Nsukka Diocese Most Rev. Godfrey Onah observed that late Professor Onah’s exemplary leadership and academic prowess reflected by his first positions in various endeavours which he said had affected lives of both the small and the great who had continued to look up to him as a role model even at death.
Late Professor Onah who died in July was laid to rest at his country home town, Orba Udenu local government area, Enugu State over the weekend.
