ADP woos APC in Rivers State    …Calls on other patriots to join party

A chieftain and founding member of Action Democratic Party (ADP), Dr. Acho Nwokogba, has called on patriotic and visionary members of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Rivers state to decamp en masse and join the ADP following the Federal High Court judgement barring all APC candidates from the 2019 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt, Nwokogba said though ADP was not laughing at their misfortune, there was a need for responsible members of APC to contribute to the development of the state.

He further said it was this class of people that ADP was inviting to join it.

Nwokogba stated that ADP as a party had demonstrated commitment, organization and focus, pointing out that such has helped the party as a credible alternative to the major parties.

“We hate to sound like we are beneficiaries of our opponents’ misfortunes. But we have always presented Action Democratic Party as a credible alternative party to both APC and PDP.”

Speaking further, he said ADP was a peaceful party that was committed to the honour, security, development and empowerment of their teeming youths and that a lot of Rivers people were beginning to appreciate the party, adding that far reaching in-roads had been made in the state.

“We are a very peaceful party, adducing our programmes and plans for the state. Our manifesto is there in public domain. We are suing for peace and good governance. So, we are calling on APC members to come and join us because we plan to eradicate poverty, hunger, restore honour, order and security to the state”.

He noted that the party had candidates in the gubernatorial (Mr. Victor Fingesi), senatorial, House of Representatives and state House of Assembly elections and would be happy to associate with anybody that sincerely wants to contribute to the development of the state.
