Air Commodore Azubuine (Rtd)’s mother, Ezinne Martha Azubuine, passes on at 95

The Azubuine family of Umuopara, Umueleagwa, Onicha in Ezinihitte Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, has announced the exit to Glory of their mother, grandmother, great grandmother and jewel, Ezinne Martha Adaku Azubuine (nee Iroakazi).

The Matriarch of the family, fondly called Ada Bekee, Ezinne Azubuine passed on at the age of 95 and will be buried on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
According to a statement signed by Air Commodore J. O. Azubuine (Rtd.) for the family, the body of Ezinne Azubuine will leave Aladinma Hospital Mortuary, Owerri on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 7:00am.

There will be a brief lying in state at her maiden home, Iroakazi’s Compound, Ubonukam, Onicha at 8:00am (Friday, September 25, 2020); a stopover at Eleke’s Compound, Udo (first daughter’s residence) at 9:00am; another stopover at Egbe’s Compound, Eziudo (last daughter’s residence) before arrival at Azubuine’s Compound, Umuopara, Umueleagwa, Onicha Mbaise at 11:00am.

Interment, on Saturday, September 26, 2020 would be preceded by a Funeral Mass at St. Peter’s Catholic Parish, Umueleagwa Onicha and followed by a Reception at St. Dominic’s Primary School, Umueleagwa Onicha.

A Thanksgiving Mass would be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Parish, Umueleagwa, Onicha on Sunday, September 27, 2020.

A devout Catholic, philanthropist and much loved community leader, Ezinne Azubuine is being mourned by many people all over the world.
