Any Christian castigating leaders is not born again – RCCG Pastor

Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer, RCCG

The Pastor in charge of Region 17 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Deji Afuye, has cautioned Christians against castigating leaders of the land in whatever way.

Pastor Afuye told Journalists shortly after dedicating the Mission’s Church building, Secretariat and maternity in the GRA Gombe that Christians do not castigate their leaders because every leader is appointed by God.

According to him, “No leader falls from the sky and the Bible tells us to pray for our leaders, pray for the good of Jerusalem, Nigeria is our Jerusalem and Gombe is the Jerusalem for the people here”.

He said, “If you see any Christian castigating leaders, check his background, he is likely not born again”.

He said he believed in the oneness of Nigeria, adding that “Since I’ve been here, I belong to the North East and don’t have any where to go for now. My home State is not my State for now, Gombe and Bauchi are my States and that is how Christians should be.”

Also speaking, the Pastor in charge of Gombe Province, Pastor Gabriel Wayas who was elated at the dedication of the Church building, described the event as “the Lord bringing honey out of our rock”.

He said, “The auditorium is like a light illuminating darkness, an impossibility being made possible and an indication that the presence of the almighty God is here”.

He said the Church had through its social corporate responsibility initiatives been doing its best in meeting the spiritual and physical needs of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the State as well as nurturing youths to be useful citizens of the society.

“We are here all the time to tell them of the fear of the almighty God. That it is not money that makes all things. That whenever you have Jesus Christ, He makes all the things to work for good and you will see no need to go into any social vices like drugs and thuggery, because God is sufficient for you”, he emphasized.
