Award-winning Cameroon-born Journalist and Anchor, Amy Banda, resumes work
Award-winning African Journalist and Anchor, Amy Banda, has return to the screen after taking a brief break following the death of her younger brother, Tapinui Mughogo Banda.
She returned to the airwaves last Monday July 13, 2026 after the brief break.
The 2025 TAKAD 6 Best TV Presenter of the Year award winner, who is from the North West Region of Cameroon, known for her interview style and focus on storytelling, has built a reputation for hosting conversations with public figures, entrepreneurs, artists, healthcare workers, educators, and community leaders, often highlighting issues of leadership, resilience, and social impact.
She started off on a high note at LTM with ‘Monuments’ and has a long list of personalities that will feature on her prime show.
Speaking previously about personal growth and purpose, Amy Banda has often encouraged audiences to “live the life of their dreams” and to “turn their wounds into wisdom”, messages that have resonated with many of her listeners and viewers.
Beyond television, she is also recognized for her involvement in charitable initiatives, including events like the Charity Gala Dinner organised by the Ambassador of The Sovereign Order of Malta to Cameroon H.E. Jean-Christophe HIEDSIECK in support of children battling cancer, where she has used her platform to raise awareness and encourage public support. This annual gathering is usually chaired by First Lady Chantal Biya and attended by excellencies and distinguished guests.
She is also known for her monthly online conversations with women and peace ambassadors under the canopy of Target Peace.
